London

We landed in London early on Monday morning, headed to the hotel for a quick shower and freshen up before getting in to the office in time for 9am. Impressive I think you'll agree.

It was at this point that I realised that London is the best city in the World. I know. I checked. It's got everything, museums, galleries, theatre, pounds, a great river and taxi drivers that know where they are going. In addition it has stunning weather continuously - at least for the 6 days when I checked...

Anyway, it was great to be in the middle of things for a week, and take advantage of the surroundings. BHB Billition has a great rooftop terrace where you could sit in the sun over lunch, and St James' & Green Park are within a 10 minute walk, as is Buck House.

On the weekend I stumbled on the Trooping of the Colour, a real show of good old British pageantry. The fact that you can stumble on such events when out for a walk is another thing to celebrate about London. The parks and the Mall were packed out with Londonors and others alike, so there still seems to be a fair bit of interest in the whole royalty thing!

So, I've bought my tea bags and I'm just about to get on the plane for the final leg of this trip, back to Houston. It was great to meet up with a stack of people whilst in Sydney, Perth and expecially London - thanks for making the effort!
